CULTURAL CONTINUITY
Ancient peoples adorned themselves in clothes, artefacts and jewellery fabricated from feathers, bones and skins. Our surfaces in chicken and guinea fowl feathers, trigger fish skin and cow bone provide an updated visual and dimension that is at once timeless and new.
The use of animal products is increasingly questioned amongst parts of our society. We believe the use of animal products is a personal one, whether for food, clothing, shelter or adornment. Our own red lines are that the animals should come from sustainable populations and species; be reared and killed humanely; and not be bred for human use other than for food.
The materials we feature here meet all these criteria.
BONE NATURAL PISCES
Bone has been used for human ornamentation since time immemorial. Here is our take on an ancient skill.
TRIGGER FISH SOL
The texture and graphic patterning on this fish leather is elegant and timeless.
GUINEA FOWL FEATHERS
Distinctive in its patterning, our guinea fowl surface is inlaid with the soft downy feathers. With great care in inlay, we preserve their texture.
RANDOM FEATHERS
The diverse colouration of these feathers imparts an abstract patterning at distance while impressing with its detail at close quarters.
