David Collins Studio were aiming for a distinctive look “rich without being overly flashy” according to Simon Rawlings, Creative Director of David Collins Studio.

Harrods’ previous Chief Merchant Helen David describes it as an “opulent penthouse suite, not like a regular shoe store.
We wanted to create some sort of five-star hotel.”

The choice of materials in this impressive space was made to enhance and not to detract from the designer shoes on display, which range from understated, discrete and muted through to the wildly spectacular conversation pieces. Brands represented in Shoe Heaven include Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo; Sophia Webster; Chanel; Salvatore Ferragamo, through a long and illustrious list of well-known names.

Wall displays are inset against a spectacular backdrop of champagne coloured capiz panelling. The iridescence of the shell is highlighted by roasting its naturally white colouration to a warm and glowing champagne colour. Beautiful in their own right, they complement the designer creations of established and up and coming fashion icons.
